The AU I normally do is a general post-IW but the snap didn't happen and also Loki is alive feel. In the AU he fucks off after the Asgardians land to travel Earth ~~and stay out of Thor's hair~~, so anything with these two meeting while they're both trying to stay under the radar would be fun!

but yeah i can work with that. bucky's great at that general unassuming behavior too in having casual convo with loki like he didn't try to take over earth because look he was a robot then and well it's not a big deal since you didn't succeed so--

Best part is Loki would have absolutely no idea who Bucky is. Neat arm, not as primitive as he'd expect.

That or Bucky doesn't mention it to Steve because Loki seems relatively harmless at the moment? Until Loki swoops in in the middle of a fight and saves Bucky's ass (because they have a weird friendship now.)

tbh if anyone asked him to keep an eye on loki he'd just bug loki out of boredom and not really watch him watch him anyway. cause he's not actually of the mind that loki is evil or bad or whatever. and also he's not getting paid enough for this.

but saving bucky's ass would be funny.

Bucky randomly dropping in on Loki is hilarious. At first Loki's just like "Oh, we must be going along the same general route." But then he teleports to the other side of the globe and Bucky turns up a few days later
