oh, hello, i waves from the hole. listen, i had to be straight up. this ship is about a power balance that naturally swings back and forth yet is also about a mutual understanding and a slow burn of trust. this man in the coat is dead fascinated with the messy brain of one james buchanan barnes and it's suddenly become his life's goal to unravel and understand it. THAT IS JUST TEXTUAL. but if that naturally brings power struggle into the bedroom, well. I'M JUST SAYING. IT'S A NATURAL PROGRESSION-

Yes! That is exactly what I love. Power swinging back and forth like a pendulum. A push and pull that isn't conventional but has a strange sort of balance for them. And if they also ruin each other in the bedroom sometimes, it really is just progression, isn't it? 8D I would like to sign up for this newsletter please. I did not expect to walk away from the show shipping them, but they were kind of delightfully sloppy together and I love a good gay mess. (and power play. always power play)

MAN, HARD SAME. i knew i would love zemo bc daniel but i was not... expecting that. much less a ship against bucky, who i already have ships for? just a delightful turn of events for me and the rest of us who love a pair of hot messy gays.

the strange balance does seem to be the key for them, though, doesn't it? and despite physically ruinous sex i do imagine they're able to work through emotionally difficult things with honesty and vulnerability. because who else understands the horrors they've committed but each other? and power plays are ultimately about trust, which is something bucky's sorely in need of.

Would you be interested in doing something post-show (I'm quite sure Zemo can escape the raft if he wants to) or would you prefer to do a bit of a canon divergence from when they're in Madripoor or something more along those lines?

once i'm handed all these choices i become desperately indecisive since i love Everything. but if you want something long term, the former seems like the route to take, especially if these two find a way to hang out with each other again. we can almost combo breaker that and have them return to madripoor post-series for further information and a side order of shenanigans. i love the idea of zemo continuing to treat bucky to a luxurious life he doesn't seem to give a fuck about (lol) while enjoying his freedom living his morally gray life alongside super soldier beefcake.

I have the same struggle. I just want everything. I would def love to go for something longer term. That could be really awesome. Maybe Zemo busts out and gets Bucky to join him on a new mission for mutual benefit. And lol Zemo flying Buck around in private jets and the whole time Bucky's like can I just have a fucking apple tho? Eternally unimpressed and just wants fresh fruit and a hot shower.

I LIVE for zemo enjoying his newfound freedom by spending money at speed while Bucky and Sam look wildly disinterested in his shenanigans. It’s just incredible. But I’d be down for that! I imagine zemo can’t just escape the Raft on his own and might need a little assistance. But oh, Bucky will find out. And will probably know just where to find him.

Just gonna get Bucky in more trouble with the Dora Milaje, I'm sure. Do you have an idea for a starter or would you like me to try to put something together tomorrow? I'm happy to do something in my musebox if that works for you or if you have a space you prefer.

at least zemo breaking out wouldn't be bucky's doing! OR WILL IT? 👀 so i don't think i mentioned it but during the week i have a super brutal work schedule that makes it hard for me to thread at all during the week, let alone with any consistency. if that's chill i'd love to see a starter! musebox, my open post, your open post, wherever's good. i'm not picky!

That's totally fine! I have slow periods and my schedule isn't really consistent, so I'm totally cool with whatever speed works. I'll hit your open post in a little bit. :>
