We could probably combine it with some kind of WW2 flashback. They were in France during the war, after all, and this also happened, that's French lit related.

Maybe Bucky shows up in Paris investigating something, swings by to visit Toro, and then is like "Remember the dumb shit we did in France? Yeah, good times. Somehow we didn't die."
