Character: Robbie Baldwin, aka Speedball, aka not Penance anymore, please never again

Canon points: Semi-present but I pretend his role in Outlawed never happened

Permissions/Preferences: Don't have a post yet, working on it. M/M an M/F are fine for shipping tho, preferably in the 18-25 range.
Who the heck are they? Robbie Baldwin aka Speedball, started as a bouncy, upbeat jabbermouth of a teen hero, Spider-Man style. He joined a young adult team, the New Warriors, made friends for life, and made a lot of mistakes but also did a lot of good. Then civil war happened and he got blamed for 600 people dying and wound up in a spiky gimp suit. After being the edgiest of lords for a while, he got better, went back to bouncing, and now exists in a state of trying to rebuild. He's trying to be a little more more jokey again but is struggling with a deep well of pain under the seemingly sunny exterior and a feeling he'll never truly be redeemed.

Searching for specific Marvels? Would give my firstborn for some New Warriors, especially Vance, Nita, or Rich. Or some of the other heroes he was frequently teaming up with, like Spider-Man. Maybe an alternate Spidey? He'd think mcu petey was a sweet-heart, would think Miles was a cool kid, etc. Or other characters that are trying to redeem themselves and all that. Or a Tony Stark cool with playing around with them having a super tense relationship after civil war and them being crammed together in a position where they have to work through it. (Fair warning, Tony did...some pretty bad things there.)
Open to and/or searching for ships? Yes, but he's not an easy nut to crack, there are reams of self esteem issues in the way. He struggles with feeling worthy to exist, let alone worthy of love. I'm into the idea, though.
What specific things are you interested in writing? Robbie reconnecting with people again, and learning to put up boundaries where he ends and other people begin. He takes a lot of things to heart and doesn't really stick up for himself anymore because he assumes he deserves negativity a lot of the time. He cares a lot more about other people's happiness, to the point he's willing to bend himself like a pretzel to make them happy, even at his own expense.

I'd like to play with him learning to social again, connecting with others, and developing healthy relationships.

Alternately, him dealing with really messed up people and struggling not to fall back into self destructiveness. He's prone to letting himself be exploited and it'd be interesting to have him getting better at escaping that trap.
What things are you not interested in? Not really un-interested but an interest with caveats: while interested in smut it'd only be after a lot of relationship development, and other players would have to deal with the fact he's got self-harm scars and massive body image issues. His body makes him look like he belongs to the batfamily over in DC.
